Local brokers heldtheir fortnightly, sales of hides, skins,'land : tallow .yesterday. There was the usual attendance of buyers. Sheepskins were firm at late.rites. 'Heavy and medium.hides-were at-par; light Sides advanced l-Sd.-kips and yearlings were at last sale rates. The range of prices.': was as follows:—Skins: Halfbred, lOd to llHd; fine crossbred, Ud to :13d; medium-coarse crossbred, 10% dto 12d; short to half wools, SWd to IXYid; lambs, BHd to 12%' d; dead and damaged crossbred, 7d to lOd; inferior and badly' damaged, s*4d'"to 9d; pelts, Gd to 9%d; damp, salted, and'green, Cs to 0s 9d; pelts, salted, 3s lOd; iamb's, salted, 4s 3d to Ss 4d.
