RESULTS OF LATEST MATCHES

LONDON^ 13th May. County\ cricket matches started on 11th May terminated yesterday with the following results:— Playing against Lancashire at Manchester, Somerset in the first innings made 92, Sihbles taking eight wickets for 24, and in the second 148 (Earle not out 67), M'Donald taking six for 56, and Sibbles four for 50. Lancashire, in the first innings declared when seven wickets had fallen for 365 (Hallows 164, Taylor 67). Lancashire won by an innings and 125 runs.

Cambridge - University, playing against Sussex, at Cambridge, in the first innings declared wheu eight wickets had fallen for 408 (Dawson 118, Killick 80), and in the second lost three wickets for 78. Sussex, in the first innings, made 204, Allom taking four for 53, and in the second declared when the side was 373 for seven wickets (Tate 118, Isherwood not out 75). The match was drawn.

Playing for Surrey, against Gloucestershire at the Oval, Shepherd scored 277 not out, and Ducat 142, while Shepherd took six wickets for 78. For Gloucestershire, Dipper scored 186, and Hammond 108 in the first innings, and 128 in the second. The match was drawn. Playing for Hampshire against Leicestershire, at Southampton, Brown made 132, and Kennedy took five wickets for 49. For Leicestershire, Astill scored 101 not out. The match'was drawn.

Playing for Kent against Derbyshire, at Chatham, Woolley made 187, and for Derbyshire, Worthington took five wickets for 70. Derbyshire won. _ Playing for Worcestershire, against Notts, at Worcester, Boot took five wickets for 86 runß. For Notts Larwood took fivo for 42, and S. Staples four for 17. Notts won.

Playing for Yorkshire, against Glamorgan, at Cardiff, Holmes made 107 and Eobinson took six wickets for 37 runs while Macaulay in the first innings took four for 31, and in the second seven for 40. Yorkshire won.
