PORT NICHOLSON SILVER BAND.
■Ihe second concert-of the Port Nicho!- ' son Sliver-Band's season' will be given tomorrow commencing at 8.16 p.m. An exceptionally line programme will be given. ■Jr.ss Noi'ii Greene, contralto, 'who has suug at t!:e Queen's Ilall,-London'Palla-dium, and London Provincial Concerts, and also for the British Broadcasting Compauy, and who held the Ada Lewis Scholarship tor years,. will be heard for th« tost time at the band's concert. Mr. Wilham Bensliaw wil! also make his first Sunday night appearance. He has sung afc the London Provincial Corieerts and Oratorios with great success. Mr. S. 35. Rodgers, baritone, is also a new arti6*t to these concerts. He has appeared in the JSorth of England Provincial Concerts, and' also sang in conjunction with Florence Austral, the noted Australian singer., Mr. J. M. Caldwell, bass, a recent arrival, it sure to be well received. He was awarded first prize at the Glasgow Musical Fes» tival in 1926. Mr. W. G. Stevenson,, the noted cornet player, will be heard n> eolos Miss A. Bryers will be at the piano. The items to be rendered by th'a band arc also good. ' ." ~^
