The quarterly meeting of the Public Service Superannuation Board was held on Thursday last,: Mr. J. W. Macdonald presiding. • .' ' Thirty-two contributors, retired under section 35 of the Act by reason of age or length of service, were granted allowances of a total o£ £7379 per : annum; and five contributors retired as medically unfit were granted allowances totalling '£858 per .annum. Eighteen widows and, five children were granted the statutory allowances amounting to £688 per annum. In consequence of retirements under section 35; of the Act, accrued compensation to the amount of £3211 became a liability of. the Superannuation Fund, and a corresponding relief to the Consolidat•*d Fund. " . ■".
