THE WEATHER
IMPROVEMENT SHOWN
The disturbancewhieh caused unpleasant weather, in the middle of the week is now centred off the East Coast of the South Island. Rain and unsettled weather generally has given place to somewhat improved conditions, and barometric pressure is slowly increasing. Moderate to strong south-easterly winds are to. be expected, with cool and changeable weather. A cold night is predicted, with inland frosts. Last night one degree of frost was recorded m Wellington.
