LONDON WOOL SALES.
The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated 4th May, from the High Commissioner for 2Sew Zealand, London: "AVool sales opened yesterday -tt-ith very good attendanca and fair competition. Compared with closing rates for last series, prices for merino and also crossbred, par 1 to 5 p«r ?«? t',J <? w? r '" inferior ("hoy most change; 124,000 bales avaUable for series, of whfcli 51,000 Australian, 44,500 New Zealand, akd 24,000 South American."
