The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated 30th April, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London:—Butter: New Zealand ami Australian, market steady; others quiet. Official quotations, with last week's prices in parentheses, are ac follow:—New Zealand: Finest salted, 151s to 154s per cwt (152s to 1545); nnsalted, 164s to 160 a (104s to 16Gs); other qualities, 142s to 148s. Australian: Salted, 150s to 152s (151s to 1545); imsalted, 158s to 102s (158s to 1625); other qualities, 140s to 1545. Argentine: Unsalted, 152s to 156s (15}s to 158s); other qualities, 144s to 150s. Danish: lC4s to 106s (172s to 17Gs). Siberian: 150s (152s to 1545).

Cheese: Market steady. Official quotations, with last week's prices in parentheses, are as follow:—English finest farmers': Prjpes are purely nominal and stocks almost exhausted. Canadian: Finest coloured, 90s to 94s per cwt (90s to 945)----white, 92s to 94s (92s to 945); other qualities, SCs to 88s. New Zealand: Coloured, 70s to 77s (76s to 775); white, 75s to 70s (70s to 775); other qualities, 74s to 755. Australian: Coloured,"73s to 755. The Bank of New Zealand, Produce Department, lias received the following advice from its London office, under date 20th April:—Butter: Steady: 151s to 154s per cwt. Cheese: Steady.
