A SHORT-WAVE TEST
(Received sth April, noon.) _ AMSTERDAM, 4th ApriL Jubilation has been caused in the Philips' Laboratory factory at Eindhoven by the news that its signals were picked up in Sydney, constituting a world short-wave record.
The Philips short-wave experimental station. (PCJJ) originally announced its transmissions for Wednesday Thursday, and Friday of last week but they were postponed till this week. The actual dates were not announced and the assumption that an exact week's postponement had been arranged is countered by the cable message reporting the reception in Sydney.
