ORIENTAL CLUB

The annual report of the Oriental Bugby Football Club, to be presented at the annual meeting at Dustin's Hooms this evening, states that the insreased membership of the previous season has been maintained, nine teams taking the field each Saturday. The club was not fortunate enough to win a championship, but the senior, junior, intermediate A, fourth, and fifth grade teams finished well up in their respective grades. The senior team occupied third position 'on the championship ladder, and it is considered that with more attention to training there is every chance of the senior championship being won by Oriental during the coming season. The intermediate A team won the seven-a-side tournament. The report add?: "Members have every reason to be proud of our position in the club championship. To obtain fourth place with only nine teams competing is no mean task, and proves conclusively that the standard of football played by the members of the various teams is,a.very high one indeed.
