Rapine jumped away at the mile post and, galloping in good style all the way hnished up his task in lmin 42sec He looks in rare buckle. Wild Pigeon beat Royal Game home °Vn c furl°ngs, in lmin 5 4-ssec. Outfit and Ardfinna'n galloped six furlongs in lmin 21sec. Centrepiece and Front Rank were sent to gallop six furlongs, but the rider of Centrepiece lost an iron and Centrepiece was not persevered with, Front Rank beating him home in lmin Msec. btar Stranger hit out well and sprinted home the last three furlongs of a gallop m 40sec. Green Cloth just led Sudden Storm at ? r en four furl.onSs> ™ 50 3-ssec Macroom was going nicely with Carrigallon at the end of a half-mile sprint, in Gauntlet, who looks well, beat Inoe over Beven furlongs, in lmin 33sec. Royal Divorce finished clear of Kilmezzo, with Arch A. row well back, in' a gallop over five furlongs, in lmin 4sec, the last half mile in 50sec. Paddon, after beginning slowly, galloped half a mile in 51 l-ssee. No Favours ran half a mile in 53sec. Commendation was on the course, but was not worked. He galloped a smart ten furlongs at Napier Park on Sunday, and is to be galloped again to-morrow. Civility and Benzora arrived yesterday, and were out doing pace work. W. Rayner was out with Lysander, Damaris, The Thorn, Deluge, Thaw, and Covent Garden. All look well. The Thorn will be ridden in the Thompson Handicap by L. A. Pine, and probably the Southern lightweight, W. Brown, will be on Deluge. Both Thaw and Covent Garden will run in the Plunket Nursery, and they will be ridden by L. A. Pine and J. Barry. T. Green is to ride-Damaris, in the Challenge Stakes, Pine being on Lysander. L. G. Morris will ride Royal Divorce in the Thompson Handicap.
