HOME FOR AGED NEEDY
An enjoyable outing was provided for about fifty inmates of the Home for Aged Needy on Saturday afternoon. Mr. James Rod arranged for thirteen motor-cars. The home was loft at 2.15 p.m., and the old people were taken to the Hutt Valley. They were brought back through the new settlement, and then the cars proceeded to Day's Bay. Afternoon tea was provided in the pavilion at the Bay, and the cars returned to the home about 5.30 p.m. Mr. G. Petherick, chairman of the Home, expressed thanks for tho provision of such an enjoyable drive, which was very much appreciated by the inmates. Another outing is to be arranged at a later date.
