TROUBLE AT CANBERRA
THREAT OF BUILDING. STRIKE
(United Press Association.—Copyright.) *• (Received 14th March, 10 a.m.)
SYDNEY, This Day. Serious industrial trouble threatens among the carpenters, joiners, painters, and bricklayers' unions at Canberra over the question of payment for wet days and holidays. The uniors concerned threaten that if the Federal Capital Commission does not fall in with their wishes, the men at work at several places, mostly boarding establishments, will be stopped. If this dislocation should occur, it would seriously hamper the work the Commission has in hand to provide accommodation for the official guests for the opening ceremony in Mar. ' .
