The first claim heard at Gisborue under the.new legislation dealing with the municipal ownership of transport service was held by the Compensation Court to-day; when Louis John Coham preceeded against the Gisborne Borough 'Council for compen sation for the taking over of buses to be used for'municipal services. The plaintiff claimed £3230; as the value of the plant. Mr. Justice Ostler sat with the assessors. Jlhe case is proceeding. ' ,
