,•" AUCKLAND, 13th March At J;he meeting .of the Auckland branch: of the Bailway Engineers, Firemen, and Cleaners '• Association to-day, Bujport)was given the' following 1 resolution .from, the 'Dunedin branch: "That sincere appreciation be expressed of the services rendered to the associatibn byMr. Carroll during his term as president of the Association." :: v
The following- resolutions were passed:— ,<That this branch considers that M'VHU^,«d Mr.,F. J. Lewin lack both the respect and ■ confid'en 3' necessary for the positions they occupy; that the general secretary" be informed that the. association: is,af.democratic institutipn,, and .that no instructions will be accepted except they be formally e nthe executive council: that the branch pledges, itself .to support the' e^eputvee in any action tafcen,. to, vindicate its power and authority ;-,^hat it is the opinion of the' branch that a full meeting of the Grand Council should beheld 1 as soon as vacancies, are filled to deal with the existing* crisis in organisation.'* • .
