CHRISTOHUROH, This Day. Despite the recent trouble the old rivals,'P, O'Shea and J. W. Mackie, met again at English Park on Saturday night. Both wore competitors in the quarter-mile, and eventually they fought out t)»e issue. The final was a greut contest, in which Mackie won by a narrow margin, to the great delight of his. supporters. The other finalists were Parker (Now Plymouth) and N. Goodman, O'Shea made a break in tho back stretch, but Mackie put in a great run up the straight, and won by half a wheel. Goodman was thircT.
