EXTENDING TO AUSTRALIA

Sir Philip Sassoon, TJnder-Secretary for Air, answering a question in the House of Commons, said it was too early to state even an approximate Sate when the air service to India would ba extended to Australia. The Government of India is taking preparatorysteps, and is now surveying the route between Calcutta and Rangoon, and the Commonwealth is similarly arranging' for flights to Singapore.
