CAPTAIN COOK'S ENDEAVOUR
A lovely silver model of Captain Cook's Endeavour, with all sails set, serves as the centrepiece for the dininotable during the voyage of H.M.S. Ro'nown with the Duke and Duchess of York. When the battle-cruiser Commonwealth, which was presented by Australia during the Great War, went out of commission her mess plate, of which the silver replica of the Endeavour was one of the ;hief pieces, was put away until another Commonwealth should appear in the Navy list, as such gifts belong to ships bearing a certain name rather than .to the Navy in general. It has been loaned to the Renown during tho present notable voyage, and is quite a feature of the dining saloon used by the Royal party.
