WELLINGTON COMPETITIONS.
At tho last meeting of the executive council of the Wellington Competitions Society several applications were received for tho position of adjudicator in tlic t various sections, and the following appointments were made:—lnstrumental, Mr. Robert Parker, Wellingtonvocal, Mr. E. Douglas Tayler (late of England, ana now Director of Music to the New Zealand Government); elocution, Mr. Harry Thomas, Sydney The appointment of a judge for the dancing section was referred to the next meeting. It was resolved that the dates of the next festival bo from 27th August to 17th September, these .dates coinciding with the school holidays.
