•.Sim spots have a marked influence on mortality, according to Maurice Fauro, tho loading French physician. Lecturing at the Academy of Medicine, ho declared that as a result of several years' observations he had discovered that whereas the death rate was 13 per cent, on ordinary cases, it roue to 20 per cent, on days when" there were sun spots. Ho suggested that these wero tho cause of the disequilibrium of human vitality, which is either a direct or contributing cause to a person's death.
