QUEENSWAY
(To the Editor.)
Sir,—l would like to suggest the name Queensway for Kent terrace. Such a name would be dignified, appropriate and origiual. As far as I know there is no other Queensway, but everyone has heard of the famous Kingsway—one of the finest and most expensive thoroughfares in the world. In modern town-planning, a subject that has always had a fascination for me it is considered desirable. to find names for "streets consisting of one word, thus eliminating the common-place street, avenue, etc. In Wellington already we have a Broadway and a Ridgway. An American city has Parkway and Fairway as names of streets. I submitted the above name to the City Council a few ■weeks ago, but would like to know if the public approve of it.—l am, etc., '■■ ■ . •
BESTWAY.
