Bpw Bells, whose chimes from Cheapslde are worW famous, have been silenced by order of the Rector of St. Mary-le-Bow, the Rev. Si G Ponsonby. Decay Is not limited to the bells, the whole of the interior of the churoh being n^uch a state of disrepair that it is falling to pieces. At least £10,000 is required to make building and spire safe.
