HUTT VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL
The monthly meeting of the Board of Governors of the Hutt Valley High School was held last night. Present: Mr. E. P. Rishworth (chairman), Messrs., H. Baldwin, P. J. S. Huthnance, J. Grimwood, G. T. London, Dr. Hislop, and Mr. HP. Kidson (secretary). •Mr. Baldwin was given authority to purchase sheep, to graze the football field. In a. discussion, on the accommodation at the school, the secretary said that the roll this year totalled 2V4, as compared with 164 last year, while a conservative estimate of next year's roll was 370. At present the school could normally ac- '' commodate. 225, but the pressure would not be acute until next year. It was decided to make arrangements for a deputation to wait on the Minister of Education in regard to additional.classrooms. The providing of a shower bath for the boys and the wiring of the tennis courts Mvas left in the hands of the grounds com-' »mittee. ■ The Parents' Association was given permission to use one of the rooms in the school for meetings.
