BURNT TO DEATH
A MOTORING TRAGEDY

TE; AWAMUTU, This Day, A shocking discovery was made this morning by a Xairini farmer and his wife when motoring in to meet a train. ■When travelling along a back road towards Terahu, they saw the remains of a motor-car beside the road. In the front '•'. seat were charred human remains,; quite unrecognisable. The farmer and his wife immediately came into To Awamutu and informed the police. Constable Doyle motored out, and subsequent inquiries convinced him that the body was that of Charles Edward Honeyficld, a well-known farmer of Botoorangi, six miles from Te Awamutu, who left home about 3 a.m. to meet his brother-in-law, Mr. Frank Harrison, who was arriving by the Main Trunk express.
The deceased leaves a widow, a son, fend, a darigbten, ..-•-■
