BRITANNIA THEATRE.
The seven finalists in First National Pictures screen star quest are appearing every evening at the Britannia Theatre. To-night a little playlet, "Afternoon Tea," is being presented. The hostess to-night is. rMiss Edwards. Thursday'is the final night, when the winner will be announced. The star picture is "Pals First," featuring Lloyd Hughes. It is a story of three tramps, a girl, and Cupid. The second feature is "The Isle of - Retribution," a story of the frozen wastes of Alaska. This unusual production crashes with big situations. Lillian Gish heads the cast, which includes Robert Prazer and Victor M'Laglan. The supporting programme is excellent.
