LAUNCH PARTY PROM DUNEDIN

CHEISTCHUECH, This Day ; - The 14-footer Avalon, -which will represent Hawkes Bay at the forthcoming Sanders Cup contest, arrived by the Wahine on Saturday morning, and has been housed in one of the special boat sheds near the dock. The Avalon was Auckland's representative at Dunedin last year. The Dunedin launch Petrel, owned by Mr. Joe Cotter, arrived at Lyttelton yesterday morning with a party of Dunedin yachtsmen^ who will remain for the Sanders Cup week. The Petrel is ketch-rigged, with a 5-h.p. engine. The party had a good trip up the coast.
