The Hon. J. A. Young, Minister of Health, arrived by the Wahine from Lyttelton yesterday.

The Attorney-General (the Hon. F. J. Rolleston) returned from Auckland this afternoon.

The Minister of Health (the Hon. J. A. Young) will leave by the Limited express to-morrow night for Morrinsville, where he will officially open a new dairy factory. He expects to return to Wellington on Thursday morning.

Mr. Justice Sim was among the passengers on the Wahine on Sunday. Dr. Hardwiek-Smith returned to Wei lington from the South yesterday morning.

The death occurred at Te Awamutu of Mr. Johrt Burgess Teasdale,. aged S2 years, states a Press Association telegram. The deceased was a resident of the Waikato for half a century, and took a prominent part on many of the local governing bodies of the province.

At the annual conference of the New Zealand Grocers' Federation, to be held in New Plymouth next week, the following delegates. will represent the Wellington branch, viz., Messrs. J. M'llraith (Dominion president), J. R. Burley (president), R.. Janson (ex-pre-sident), and H. J. Etott , (secretary "Wellington branch), and J. O'Sullivan.

The death has occurred of Dr. L. K. Hagen (states "The Post's" Auckland correspondent). He underwent an operation during the week and did not rally. The late Dr. Hagen was a man of genial disposition, and had many friends. Ho took a. keen interest in all kinds of sport, and was an hon. medical attendant at boxing tournaments and wrestling matches. At one time he practised at Westport. He then came North, and prior to the war had charge of.the hospital at Whangarei. For some years past he has practised at Devonport.. He is survived by his jvif c, one son, and three daughters. The eldest daughter is a nurse at the Whangarei Hospital.
