DUNEDIN, This Day. The Plunket Shield match between Otago and Canterbury was resumed in Sne "weather. The wicket was a little soft after the overnight rain. Canterbury, who had made 261 for five wickets (Nixon 35, Boon 21) when stumps were drawn on Saturday, continued their innings. The latter added 5; then lie was bowled by Alloo, who got a lot of turn on the ball. Nixon departed soon afterwards. Bead was bowled by Dickinson. With the score at 271, Evans clouted Alloo right over the fence, and in the, same over added a souple' of 4's. The third century was hoisted after 4 hours 29 minutes 1 batting. Blamires relieved Alloo, and Evans sent him to the boundary. Torrance went on at the other end, and Merritt also collected a sixer. Merritt then scooped one into Blunts hands after scoring 18 briskly. Evans and Cunningham proved another thorn in the side of the attack, and when the luncheon adjournment was taken they were still together, having added 49 in an hour. The scores were:— OTAGO.
