TE KUITI, This Day. The weather is fine for the first day's racing. There is a large attendance, and the course is in good order. Results :—
Hack Hurdles, of 125 soys; about one mile and three-quarters.—s Dead Sweet, 9.0, 1; 4 Uralla, 10.0, 2; 3 West Abbey, 10.2, 3. Scratched: Slump, Town Hall, Rangiawhou. Time, 3min 16sec. Maiden Handicap, of 100 soys; seven furlongs.—l Town Guard, 9.0, 1; 4 Lady Cintra, 8.7, 2; 2 Ballachulish, 8.0, 3. All started. Won by three lengths, with one and a half lengths between second and third. Time, lmin 31 2-5 see. .
