PROFESSIONAL CYCLING.
Arrangements have .been made for the noted prof essional cyclist, B. Spears ex-world's and Australian champion, to appear at the Basin Eeserve next Saturday night; Speajs has been attracting great notico in the South, and is undoubtedly a high-class rider. He will ride in a special match race with J' Henderson, New Zealand professional champion, and H. W. Nesbitt, the wellknown Australian champion'cyclist. A full programme/of professional, events 38 being arranged, and it is anticipated that many; cyclists from other parts will compete. The champions will also take part in handicap -events.
