Malcolm'Campbell, in Ms special "Bluebird" racing car, smashed the world's speed record on Pendiae Sands in South Wales, with a mean average speed over 174 miles an hour. His times were: One kilometre in 12.791 seem 20.663 seconds, or 174.224 miles an.
