MR. BRUCE RETURNS
SPLENDID RECEPTION
QUESTION OF MIGRATION
(United Press Association.—Copyright.) SYDNEY, 4th February. The Federal Prime Minister, Mr. S. M. Bruce, had an enthusiastic reception on his return from the Imperial Conference. A number of .prominent citizens, including most of his colleagues in the Federal Cabinet, met the Niagara down the harbour and boarded the liner to 'welcome him. He was also tendered a civic welcome when the ship berthed, and later he was entertained at a luncheon given in hi 3 honour by the citizens of Sydney. Mr. .Brueo announced that a delegation of three or four of the best financial business brains in, Britain would come to Australia to see whether some schema could not be evolved under which Australia would be able to absorb more migrants.
