WONDERFUL ATTENDANCE

During this week a refresher course has been held at New Plymouth for primary school teachers of the Taranaki education district, and it has been attended by 350 persons. The senior inspector (Mr. N. B. M'Kenzie) expressed his pleasure at what he considered was a wonderful attendance, for of all the teachers in the Taranaki district only 15 were not present. Several lived too far away and-several had been to the Cambridge course, so that there could' not be more than six or seven who had not attended a course this year. This, he thought, constituted something of a record for New Zeai land.
