HIDING THE SHINGLE.
When the hair is cut or shaved very close at the nape of the neck it is decidedly not a pretty sight with evening dress. To continue the feminine touch which a bristly nape destroys, there is a pretty vanity in vogue, and this is a band of picot-edged ninon worn round the neck, with two large flowers attached which hide the nape and peep out prettily behind the ears.
