BRITANNIA THEATRE.
Seven finalists in First National Pictures screen star test are appearing nightly in a series of screen tests at the Britannia Theatre. From the seven finalists appearing one will be found to compete in the Dominion finals at Auckland. The star picture is 'Tab ' First," featuring Lloyd Hughes. One of the things about ,"Pals First" is the surprise ending. It is a story of three tramps, a girl, and Cupid. The second feature is "The Isle of Retribution," a story of the frozen wastes of Alaska This unusual production crashes with big situations. It has been adapted from Edison Marshall's famous novel. Lillian Rich heads the cast, which includes Robert Frazer and Victor M'Lagan. The supporting programme is excellent.
