DE LUXE THEATRE.
"The perfect circus picture!" This is the veraict of one of the foremost circus me? °f America on "Spangles," featuring iat O Malley and Marian • Nixon, which will commence screening at the De Luxe Theatre to-night, with a matinee at 2.30 p.m. to-morrow. In fact, so taken was A. Cx. Barnes, owner of the Barnes Shows, upon the portrayal of circus life and people m this picture, that he was the prime mover m a plan to present to Pat O'Malley, and the "Spangles" cast, a handsome medal, suitably inscribed. The A. G Barnes show was leased by Arthur I<\ .beck, producer of the picture, for the mouth just prior to their taking to the roa,d for their spring and summer seasou. All of the circus performers and- staff watched with great interest the taking of the scenes. This was the period of rehearsals, of the refurbishing of costumes and equipment, the repainting of the wagons and seats—all of which was taken advantage of by the producers of "Spangles. Not alone this, but the circus people were eager and energetic, refreshed bythe winter's rest, and keenly interested in the opportunities offered by their picture engagement. So those who like the. circus should go to see "Sangles." Ihere will be good supports, and a special score of incidental music by the De Luxe Orchestra. . .
