MAN SET FREE
"DANGEROUS TO CONVICT"
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)
AUCKLAND,.This Day. At the Supreme Court the jury found a verdict of not guilty in two charges of indecent exposure against Bertram O'Connor. A disagreement• at the previous session resulted in a new trial.
Two Grammar School girls.had complained that they had been insulted by a man on a vacant property, and ona of the girls picked out the accused at the identification parade. The defence set up was a complete alibi. Mr. Justice Stringer commented on! the possibility of error in the identification of individuals at a police parade. He said that it was in the accused's favour that his explanation of his movements were supported by a. subsequent alibi. It would be dangerous to convict in this case.
