VERDICT OF SUICIDE

AUCKLAND, 3rd February. At the adjourned inquest regarding the death of Raoul Alper, 40 years of age, an indent agent, a verdict was returned of suicide while temporarily insane. Alper i j v™ 1108 Pi*al yesterday morning; he had_ been admitted the previous evening, having been found in some scrub on the Domain side of George street, Newmarket, with a wound on both wrists, and a penknife alongside him. The resident medical officer at the hospital gave evidence that deceased was, when admitted, bleeding from a deep wound on the loft wrist, and a slight wound on the other wrist, and said he had endeavoured to commit suicide.
