ENTERTAINMENT PLANS

FOR MEN OF THE RENOWN

The Entertainment Committee set up in connection with the Royal visit has drawn up a fairly complete programme for the entertainment of the officers and men o£ the Ecnown during her

stay in port.

The Town Hall will be available each night during the ship's stay for dancing, and the Concert Chamber will be set aside as a reading and writing

room,

Messrs. Hope Gibbons and Co. have placed at the disposal of the Entertainment Committe two floors of their new building, Dixon street, to be fitted as sleeping quarters for men who are granted overnight shore leave. A portion of Shea 37, Pipitea "Wharf, will be equipped as a writing room and club room, with postal facilities.

Tkc men will be granted passes for the city tramcars, and the City Council is also making ararngements to take parties out upon sight-seeing trips in its motor-buses. Officers and men will receive invitations to attend the Grand Military Pageant at Newtown Park. '

The arrangements in connection with the Concert Chamber, sleeping quarters, and the club room on Pipitea "Wharf will be in the hands of the V.M.C.A., working in conjunction with the Entertainment Committee.
