ARMY MEAT CONTRACT
WEDDELS AND AUSTRALIA

LONDON, 23rd 'January. Messrs. Weddel have secured the Army meat contract for their new Buenos Aires works. They refuse to mention the price, but state that it was much below Australian-tenders.
According to the "Standard" the successful tender was 5s lOd a dozen tins.... The Australian tender was 7s, a total difference of & 7300.
