MIRAMAR TOURNEY
PROGRESS OF PLAY
Lhe Wellington Provincial Lawn Tennis Association s tournament was continued at Miramar on Saturday. Very little interest was displayed by the outside public in the tournament, but the competitors were keen enough and many o£ the events were brought to the semi-final stage. A strong wind during the afternoon, rather upset the play. In the men's championship singles Wilson and L. France had small difficulty in winning their matches, although something of a sensation was caused by W. Harbison capturing one set off the former. In the final of the handicap mens singles Chandler just managed* to beat Longmore. , Tiff, fi"1!.1 °f tne girls' single was won by Miss N. Fleming from Miss Z; Castle, the doubles going to Miss Z.
