'Very briefly,,the main' idea of.the story is that a vanquished . boxer, ■ slow' of intellect ■ but stocked high 'with courage, is introduced into ; a Fifth avenue house, to bring its owner, whose health has /fallen before long /association^ with American drinks,. into a fit condition to with his'„ brother-in-law, who is" suspected of handling the family funds to his own. best advantage. The boxer makes a dreadful fist of the butler's duties, his loyemakiug .threatens to" be' disastrous, -but •take's..a'-turn in I.time, the/ brother-in-law is severely 'discomforted,. • and ..-"Chick"'. Cowan, after a most beautiful tanglingup; of . family .finances, shines : out as the" new light-weight, champion.■'.':. The parts''of the boxer and his; manager., later butler and footman, are admirably takenby.-Mr. Richard Taber and Mr. Hale Norcross, and_ the cast as a whole is in excellent balance.
