Murray Kean— have chosen the following team to. represent New Zealand in the lawn tennis Test match against New South Wales at Wellington on 14tli and 15th January:— X D.' Andrews (Palmerston North). . G. Ollivier (Canterbury). N. R. Wilson (Wangamii). E. L. Bartleefc (Auckland). L. G. lCuott (Auckland). ( H. Sturt (Auckland); . / ' Emergencies (in order of merit): D. G. France (Wellington), C. K. ■ Malfroy (Wellington), L. A. France (Wellington), I. A. Seay (Canterbury), A. W. Sims (Auckland), E. B. W. Smyth (Wellington). In selecting the team, the selectors have taken into consideration-the undoubted weakness obtaining in . Now Zealand doubles play, and they are .of opinion that the exceptional ■ performance ot' the present holders of the doubles Championship, Knott and Sturt, entitles them to a place in the team, notwithstanding the claims of others on their singles play.
