METHODIST BIBLE CLASS CONVENTION

The sixth annual convention of the Methodist Young 'Men's Bible ' Class Movement was commenced on Saturday, under the chairmanship of the president, MrlC. B: Edimmd, at 1 Scots College, jMiramar. The opening devotional session was conducted "by the Bey. A. N. Scotter, 8.A., and was followed-by an address of welcome by ! the Eevr J. Dennis on behalf of the I chairman, of the district. The remainder of the day was occupied with the business'session, during which the,annual report, balance-sheet, and organisers' reports were received and adopted. A combined conference with the members of the Young Women's Movement, who are also in .residence at Scots College, was-held in the evening, and various important so"ciaTproblems affecting- -young, people wero discussed and decisions arrived at for reference to ihe respective movements. At the close, the Eev. E. T. Olds delivered an inspiring address on f'How to Present the Claims of Christ to the Youth of To-day.l' Sunday.was spent as a, day of devotion,' the,morning,service .being; conducted'by the. E'eyl E. S. Emmitt, M.C., and the evening service by the Bey. E. P, Blamires, general secretary of the Y.P. Department.
