RAILWAY ARRANGEMENTS
Train arrangements for the New Year holidays are advertised in to-day's issue. Additional suburban trains will run on New Year's Eve. A full time-table for New Year's Day is published. Special services are provided to picnic grounds aud seaside resorts, as well as to the sports meeting at Parapamimu on the Ist January. Those desirous of patronising the races at Featherston on Ist and 3rd Jannary should note the augmented time-table. Facilities from Paekakariki and beyond are available for patrons journeying to and from the Feilding race meeting. Special cheap fares to the various events are featured. '
