HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE.

To-night at His Majeßty's Theatre there will be no performance, but on Monday "The Midnight Frolics" will commence their Wellington season with a matinee. Consistent record-breaking runs nave characterised this company since its inauguration, in Australia some time ago, and its success has continued in New Zealand Great enthusiasm was shown at Auckland, where the company was ietetod splendidly. Eric Edgley and Clem Dawe, X are well known locally through pantomime and vaudeville, are the principal comedians, and this is their frst appearance here with a company of then own—the beat revue company, it is Baiil, that has appeared in a vaudeville house for a decade. Apart .from comedy, the company is strong musically. Oscot Beck, Gregory Ivanofi, Alex Regan, Dorothy White/and Ronald Stafford are names well known in musical circles, and there are the additional attractions ot Phyllis Amery, the principal danseuse, the Dick Dorothy Trio, and Violet Lester, Nell M°Gu£e, and Cathie Stevens, song and dance artists. The revues are mounted on an unusually attractive scale and record crowds are expected during the company's local season.
