In the Sheffield Shield.match between South Australia and New, South Wales, the visitors in the second innings scored 446 for six wickets (Andrews 126, Phillips 52, Kippax 42, Morgan 110, Jackson not out 56). New South Wales won by four wickets, ■''*■••
The weather was cloudy, and the wickot was good. The overnight notout batsmen carried the score to 189, when Kippax was smartly thrown out by Pritchard. Andrews and Morgan, despite numerous bowling changes, gave a vigorous display of stylish attractive batting and brd_ght the total to 301. Andrews lost his wicket through jumping out to Williams, the first ball after luncheon. Morgan played slashing cricket. Ha gave one chance, an easy catch, at 8, which Grimmett dropped. Jackson played a lively punishing game against the tiring bowling, though the fielding was smart. Scott took two wickets for 108 runs, Richardson one for 54, Williams one for 42, and Grimmett one for 123.
New South Wales in the first innings made 341. South Australia's scores wore 500 and 286).
