STRAND THEATRE.
To-night will see the final screenings of 'Taint and Powder," starring Elaine Hammerstein, and "The Love Gamble," featuring Robert Fraser and Lillian Eich. Two special attractions have been booked for Christmas week, and commence showing to-morrow. They are "Little Annie Rooney," with Mary Pickford, and "The Limited Mail," the stars of which are Monte Blue and Vera Reynolds. "Little Annie Rooney" is the story of a little ragamuffin Irish girl, who is leader of a gang of street urchins in the east side of New York. Mary Pickford, with her roguish ways and wistful charm, gives one of her finest performances, and will appeal to adults and children alike. "The Limited Mail" is a thrilling melodrama of the railroad, and shows the glorious scenery among the Colorado Mountains. jVlon'.e Blue, as' the engine-driver, plays his part to perfection, and he is ably supported by Vera Reynolds.
