Lucky Lady," to be finally screened tonight at the Empress Theatre, features Greta Nissen. Elaine Hammerstein and Robert Frazer are co-starred in "The Fe»>lish Virgin," a sensational tale that has its orißiu in the social life of a big city. Tho love story is uncommonly sweet, and is well acted. There is a fine supporting bill, and the Empress Orchestra plays delightful selections. "A KISS FOR CINDERELLA." At this time of the year it is usual for theatre managers to cast around for something in keeping with the season, and the management of the Empress Theatre seeius to have been particularly fortunate in their choice of entertainment commencing to-morrow. "A Kiss for Cinderella" and "Souls for Sables" will be the main features. In "A Kiss for Cinderella" there is the light, delicately wrought fantasy, and whimsical humour of Sir James Barrie, and the sensitive acting of Betty Bronson. The story-tells of a poor Lon- | don girl whose unshakeable belief that some day she will be invited to a magnificent ball, where a Prince will choose her as his Princess, helps her to endure her drab surroundings and lighten her mental tasks. How the Cinderella story o£ her dreams comes true is revealed in a series of pathetic, comic, and dramatic situations. The ballroom scene is said to be wonderful, and one of the finest settings of its kind ever screened. Tom Moore, Esther Ralston, and Flora Finch are also in the cast. "Souls for Sables" is a lavish screen presentation with a dazzling array of feminine finery that fairly staggers the eye. The cast /includes Claire Windsor, Eugene O'Brien', Claire Adams, Eileen Percy, and George Fawcett. The story descrbes the psychology of the mind of a woman who, reared in the lap of luxury, cannot do without the gorgeous apparel she was accustomed to prior to her marriage.
