TRANSPORT APPEAL BOARD
FIRST CHRISTCHURCH SITTING.

CHBISTCHURCH, 22nd Dec. The first sitting of the Transport Appeal Board was held to-day. The Tramway Board, as owners of buses, appealed against the decision of the licensing authority (Christchurch City Council) in refusing a license to the board to run a bus to North. Beach, and against a license being granted for the same run tp a private owner named Bussell.
Another appeal was made by Bussell against being required to charge twopence extra fare. He alleged that only for a short distance was his route along the tram tracks or near the tram lines.
All three appeals were dismissed,
