CARNIVAL AT PETONE
Petone's annual Christmas carnival, provided that the weather is kind, bids fair to be an unqualified success. It is being .held by the Petone Beautifying Association, and complete arrangements have been made to - provide entertainment for all during the holidays. Proceedings open on Monday morning at 10 o'clock with a sporta meeting, and as entries are large and representative some-good finishes should-be seen. For those not athletically inclined side-shows and other attractions have been provided in plenty, and a feature of. the carnival will be the. beautiful electric lighting _ effects at night. It may be safely anticipated that the public will in no way be disappointed in the treat provided for them.
